SpinifexIT Global Pty Ltd (SpinifexIT), a leading SAP-certified consulting company needed a robust way to collaborate with its 16 staff here in Australia, 8 in the USA and 2 in Asia. The company’s primary goal was to enable – users in the 3 regions to operate from a common email platform.  To accomplish this goal, they called on leading Melbourne and Mornington Peninsula IT support company Agile IT Solutions (Agile IT).

To design the right IT solution for this organisation, the team at Agile IT met with SpinifexIT’s decision makers to gain a complete understanding of the company’s needs and business requirements.  First and foremost, the users required a standardized email solution with complete functionality including calendar and contacts. They also needed to migrate all users from their existing small-business server to the new environment.

Once Agile IT gained a complete understanding of the company’s requirements, the next steps included consultation, design and the deployment of a private cloud solution to host Microsoft Exchange for the entire company.  This solution included a private-built virtualisation environment hosted in a secure Melbourne-based Data centre.

The project was successfully implemented.  SpinifexIT now has all users running from a securely-hosted Microsoft Exchange Server, that allows all staff to operate from a single common platform, while maintaining control over the server requirements.
