When it comes to the Microsoft Cloud, one product stands out more than any other, and that is Microsoft 365 Business Premium (M365BP).
Why? Simply put it is not only the best value in terms of product licenses it includes, but it also includes a number of enterprise grade security and compliance features.
To start with, lets discuss the included products:
- Microsoft Cloud Email & Office Applications
- Microsoft Desktop Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel etc)
- Windows 10 (as long as your computer has a Windows 7+ pro license)
Individually, just the Windows 10 Upgrade alone is worth almost a year of the subscription cost, not to mention the fact that the subscription includes all future updates to the Windows and Office platforms as they occur.
In addition to this, ‘M365BP’ includes a number of enterprise grade Security (Cybersecurity) and Compliance (Information Governance) features that would otherwise not be part of your office subscription. These include:
- Microsoft Defender Azure P1
- Microsoft Defender Office P1
- Microsoft Intune Device Management
What does that mean for your business? In simple terms, advanced ‘Identity Protection’ (think account theft prevention), advanced ‘Compliance and Governance’ features such as Litigation Hold, and control of the devices used to access your business resources.
Agile IT enables Litigation Hold by default on all of our customers’ accounts, as it means if the worst does happen when it comes to a trusted employee, our customers’ Law Firm will have all the information they need.
Whilst its true that most of these included ‘bolt ons’ can be added to even the most basic of Microsoft 365 Cloud Products (Microsoft 365 Business Basic), when they are the cost is almost identical to a Microsoft 365 Business Premium license which as aforementioned includes Windows 10 and Office Desktop. It nearly never makes sense to go for the basic offering plus bolt ons.
As such at Agile IT, we don’t just know M365BP as ‘Business Premium’, we know it as ‘Best Practice’.
