Introduction

At Agile IT Solutions Pty Ltd (ACN 127 277 070) (we, us or our), we want to have the best possible relationships with our clients, people and suppliers. To achieve this, we may need to collect personal information about you and the relevant circumstances surrounding your interaction with us. It is important for us to ensure that you are confident that any personal information you provide is treated in the appropriate manner and with the appropriate degree of privacy. We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The NPPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information. What does “personal information” mean?

Personal information is any information or an opinion about you that identifies you or by which your identity may be reasonably determined.

The type of personal information we collect from you will depend on how you interact with us. Generally, we collect the following types of information:

How do we use Cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are stored on your device via your web browser. We don’t intentionally use Cookies, but plugins installed on our website may use Cookies. You can clear or disable Cookies by changing the security settings on your device.

 

Why do we collect your personal information?

We collect your personal information so we can:

We use a third-party payment processing systems to provide ease of payment of products and services. You acknowledge you have read and agree to the 3rd party privacy policy when you make payments to us via this system.

Sometimes we’ll need to disclose your personal information to other people or entities (‘third parties’) for the purposes set out in this policy. For example, we will pass on your payment details to our third-party payment processing system. We disclose your personal information to people or entities located outside Australia such as United States for the purposes set out in this privacy policy. We take steps to ensure that the overseas people or entities recipients of your personal information handle your personal information with the same level of protection as set out in this privacy policy.

 

How do we keep your personal information secure?

We will take all reasonable precautions to safeguard personal information that is held by us from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. To ensure that your personal information is secure, we employ several means, including:

  • the requirement for all employees to enter into a confidentiality agreement;

  • computer firewall protection;

  • restricted access to personal files and information;

When your Personal information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information. However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of seven (7) years.

 

What is Sensitive Information?

Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information.

Sensitive information will be used by us only:

  • for the primary purpose for which it was obtained;

  • for a secondary purpose that is directly related to the primary purpose

  • with your consent; or

  • where required or authorised by law.

We don’t usually collect sensitive information, but if we do we will always get your direct consent before disclosing your sensitive information to third parties. Direct marketing. We may use your personal information, such as your address or contact details, to provide you with information about services that we offer. If at any time you do not wish to receive any information about these services, please feel free to contact us and we will not send you any further material.

 

Maintaining the Quality of your Personal Information

It is important to us that your Personal Information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up to date. If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records and ensure we can continue to provide quality services to you.

We will handle all requests as quickly as possible and provide that information to you. Some requests may take longer depending on the nature of the complaint. We will respond to you within 30 days of receiving your complaint outlining: what we have or will do in response to your complaint or explaining why we believe there is no breach of our policy or the law. In order to protect your Personal Information, we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.
