What it’s like working here

The reality of working at a focused, owner-led practice

This isn’t a big MSP with shift rotations, escalation tiers, and a name-on-a-ticket relationship with the people you support. The whole team knows every client.

You’ll work with decision-makers

Our clients are business owners, managing directors, and operations leads, not procurement teams. The work you do is visible, and the decisions you make matter.

Depth, not just breadth

We invest in standards (SMB1001, Essential 8, Microsoft AI Cloud Partner) and in the people who understand them. You’ll be expected to learn deeply, not just resolve tickets quickly.

Low ego, high standards

Honest about what we know and what we don’t. Quick to ask, slow to bullshit. Strong opinions, loosely held.

Long-term client relationships

We don’t do break-fix churn. Most of our clients have been with us for years. You build real context, real trust, and real outcomes , not just close tickets.

Modern stack, modern tools

Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Defender, Copilot, SMB1001-aligned security, ConnectWise, modern documentation. Genuine AI use across the practice, not just talk.

Mornington-based, hybrid friendly

Our home office is in Mornington (with a Melbourne base in East Melbourne). We work flexibly, but we genuinely value being in the same room when it matters.

Owner-led, and you’ll know it

You’ll actually know who you work for

Linden has run Agile IT since 2007. The person you see on the website is the person you’ll sit across from in the interview, and the one whose name is on the business. Small team, no layers, no call-centre script.

Do good work here and the people who matter will see it. That is the upside of staying deliberately small.

Who we’re looking for

The kind of people who do well here

We don’t always have specific openings posted. We do always welcome conversations with people who’d fit the team.

Roles we hire for

  • Service Desk Engineer (Level 1 to 2), first point of contact for client requests; M365, Windows, networking fundamentals.
  • Senior IT Engineer / Consultant (Level 3), project delivery, security architecture, escalations, client advisory.
  • vCIO / Technical Account Manager, strategic relationships, roadmap, governance.
  • Apprentices & trainees, we’re committed to developing the next generation; if you’re early-career and curious, talk to us.

Traits that matter more than your résumé

  • You’d rather understand a problem than rush to solve it.
  • You can talk to a non-technical business owner without making them feel small.
  • You take pride in writing things down properly.
  • You’re comfortable saying “I don’t know, I’ll find out.”
  • You care about the outcome more than the credit.
