Why Agile IT
A partner at the table, not a vendor at the end of a queue.
The difference between reactive IT and a deliberate technology partnership is who is in the room when the decision gets made.
The core positioning
Consulted before decisions, not after
Agile IT is not a break-fix provider, a helpdesk at the end of a queue, or a vendor that waits for problems. We are embedded in your business as a trusted advisor on technology decisions.
The best results happen when we are involved early, before decisions are locked in, avoiding rework, hidden risk, and solutions that do not fit how the business actually operates.
That expectation shapes everything: how we communicate, how we scope work, and how we plan change. It is what separates a partnership from a support contract.
The team at Agile IT has always guided us with change. Their interest in our business and how it works is key for us.Emily Charters Canterbury Partners
The story
Built deliberately, since 2007
Agile IT Solutions was founded in 2007 by Linden and Letecia Jackson, out of a lifelong interest in technology going back to the 1980s computing boom. More than 30 years in IT sit behind the business today.
It is family owned and operated, Linden as Managing Director, Letecia as co-founder providing oversight and strategic perspective. Family ownership is why accountability is personal here.
The business is intentionally small and focused. That is not a limitation , it is the design, and how Agile IT keeps accountability and personal service intact as it grows.
Our clients sit across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. Two offices, the Mornington base and the East Melbourne office at Jolimont, mean the same team can sit across from you, from one end of Port Phillip Bay to the other. It is part of how we have stayed close to clients for fifteen and twenty years at a time. Where we work →
How accountability works
The shared responsibility model
This model is not about distancing Agile IT from responsibility, it makes accountability visible. Every engagement includes a Responsibility and Accountability Matrix as a working document.
A Responsibility and Accountability Matrix is a working document in every engagement, accountability is visible from day one.
Agile IT owns
- Technical execution, security controls, endpoint and identity management
- Day-to-day operations, monitoring, recovery, and return to business as usual
- Strategic advice on technology decisions
- Proactive identification of risk and opportunity
- Communication that keeps clients informed before they need to ask
The client owns
- Governance, risk appetite, and business priorities
- Regulatory obligations and investment decisions
- The authority to accept or modify Agile IT's recommendations
Setting expectations
Managed services and project work
The managed services agreement maintains, supports and recovers your business-as-usual environment. A deliberate change, upgrade or addition is project work, scoped, quoted and approved separately, rather than rushed through under day-to-day support.
Managed services, covered month to month
- Helpdesk support, monitoring, and patching
- Security baseline maintenance and backup operations
- Vendor coordination and incident response
- User onboarding and offboarding within the agreed user count
- Periodic technology reviews
Project work, scoped and quoted separately
- Office moves and new location setups
- New server deployments and Wi-Fi upgrades
- Security uplift and migration projects
- Equipment refreshes and significant configuration changes
- AI implementation projects
Our values
Four things we hold to
Trust
We do what we say we will do. Honest, transparent, and direct when something needs to be said.
Quality
We do things properly. No shortcuts, no band-aid fixes, no solutions that create the next problem.
Responsiveness
We pick up the phone. We respond when it matters, and we follow through.
People First
You are not a support ticket. Technology only works when the people using it can use it well.
Credibility markers
Recognised, accredited, and involved
Markers that reflect how the business operates, not a wall of logos.
