The Agile IT team working together around a table with laptops, Microsoft Surface devices and coffee

Why this page exists

You should be able to recognise yourself here

Agile IT is built for a particular kind of business. If the profile below describes you, the partnership tends to work very well.

Many of our clients are in professional and financial services, but industry is not the deciding factor. What matters is how your business operates, how you approach technology, and whether you are looking for a long-term, accountable partner.

Fit runs both ways. You are deciding whether Agile IT is the right partner; we are working out whether we can do genuinely good work for you. When both answers are yes, the partnership is strong from the start.

If the fit is not there, we will say so early and, where we can, point you in a better direction. That honesty protects your time as much as ours.

Who we work with

We work best with businesses like this

Size

Businesses of 10 to 40 staff, with room and ambition to grow. We also work with smaller, early-stage teams scaling up that want the right structure, security and standards in place from the start.

Location

Based across Melbourne, the South Eastern suburbs, Frankston, and the Mornington Peninsula. Businesses may operate from a single site or across multiple locations, including hybrid environments.

Industry

We work across Professional and Financial Services, Transport and Logistics, Wineries, Restaurants and Hospitality, Manufacturing, Production and Operations, and Not-for-Profit organisations.

Operational maturity

A funded IT budget, a structured way of operating, and a leadership team that takes process seriously.

Mindset

You see technology as a strategic investment, not a cost, and you want a partner at the table when decisions are made.

Environment

You operate in Microsoft 365 and want to make the most of it, with a focus on security, standardisation, and long-term stability.

The businesses we work with come from a range of industries. What they share is a reliance on technology to run properly, a need for secure, well-managed systems, and a leadership team that expects IT to be accountable, not reactive.

Recognise yourself?

You are likely a strong fit if…

These are the same signals we look for from our side. When most of them describe your business, we are confident we can do our best work for you.

  • You see technology as a strategic investment, not something to minimise
  • You want a partner at the table, not just a helpdesk
  • You rely on Microsoft 365 and want to use it properly
  • You value being told the truth, even when it is not easy
  • You want one accountable IT partner, not multiple disconnected vendors
  • You understand that secure, well-managed IT underpins your ability to grow

What all of these have in common is not the industry itself, but the need for reliable, secure, well-managed IT that supports day-to-day operations and long-term growth.

Questions

Questions about fit and getting started

We are smaller than 10 staff. Can we still work with Agile IT?
Yes, and it is well worth a conversation. The 10 to 40 staff range is a guide, not a hard rule. What matters more is the mindset: a willingness to do things properly, a structured approach, and leadership that sees technology as critical. Putting the right structure and security in place early is exactly when a managed partner adds the most value.
We are not a professional services business. Does that rule us out?
No. Many of our clients are in professional and financial services, but we work across a range of industries. The common factor is not the sector but the need for structured, secure, well-managed IT. If your business relies on technology and values accountability, the conversation is worth having.
We operate across multiple sites or have remote staff. Is that a problem?
No. Many of the businesses we work with operate across multiple locations or have hybrid teams. Our approach is built around standardisation, secure access, and consistent management, regardless of where your staff are based.
We are unhappy with our current IT provider. How do we switch?
It starts with a discovery conversation. We assess your current environment, identify what needs to change, and define the work to bring your systems up to standard. That work is scoped and agreed before any managed service begins, and we manage the handover from your existing provider.
We have someone in-house who handles IT. Does that rule us out?
No. Many clients have an internal resource managing day-to-day coordination. We operate as the technical and strategic layer behind that role, bringing structure, tooling, and accountability.
Do you work with businesses outside Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula?
Our primary service area is Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. For remote-first support, geography matters less. For onsite-inclusive services, we focus on areas where we can reliably attend.
What industries do you have the most depth in?
We have the strongest experience in professional and financial services, including accounting, insurance, consulting, architecture, training, and HR. We also work across transport and logistics, hospitality, wineries, manufacturing, engineering, marketing, not-for-profit organisations, and government environments where the operational profile aligns.
