How an engagement starts

Every AgileMANAGED engagement follows the same considered path, so the managed service starts on solid ground, with no surprises and a clear picture of cost before anything is committed.

Discovery conversation

An on-site or Microsoft Teams conversation to understand how your business runs, scope what you need, and identify the right service tier. No quote and no obligation.

Step 02

Plan the project work

If anything needs to change to bring your environment up to standard, that work is scoped and quoted as a separate project, agreed before the managed service begins. You see it before you commit.

Step 03

Onboarding

A one-off onboarding brings your environment properly into the managed service: our tools and monitoring deployed, your systems documented, and a formal site assessment, security review and baseline checks completed.

Step 04

Service live

The managed service agreement becomes active, with the shared responsibility model and agreed service levels in place from day one.

Why do you charge a fee for onboarding? Onboarding is real, deliberate work, done once before the monthly service starts. It is not an account-setup fee, it is the effort of bringing your environment up to a known, documented standard, so the managed service is delivered properly from day one. A managed service is only as dependable as the baseline it starts from.

A one-off onboarding typically includes:

  • Deploying remote management, monitoring and security tooling
  • A formal assessment of your current technology environment
  • A security review and SMB1001-aligned baseline checks
  • Documenting your systems, accounts and configuration
  • Identity, email and endpoint baseline configuration
  • A managed handover from your previous IT provider, where applicable

The onboarding figure is estimated up front in the discovery conversation, so you know it before the agreement begins. Larger project work to remediate or modernise the environment, if needed, is scoped and quoted separately.

What is the main difference between Remote and Complete?
Onsite presence and critical-systems management. AgileREMOTE delivers everything remotely, support, monitoring, security, Microsoft 365 management, and suits cloud-first environments. AgileCOMPLETE adds onsite support, managed servers and critical systems with 24/7 NOC, and quarterly business reviews. Both tiers deliver the same standard of care.
What is AgileSTRATEGY, and how is it different from IT support?
AgileSTRATEGY is the strategic leadership layer of AgileMANAGED. IT support handles the day-to-day: tickets, incidents, the things that need fixing now. AgileSTRATEGY works one layer above that. It owns the 12-month technology roadmap, runs quarterly business reviews with your leadership team, and manages vendors, licensing and renewals so nothing creeps up on you. How long does onboarding take?
It depends on the size and complexity of the environment. A typical engagement takes two to four weeks from signed agreement to service live, including monitoring, agents and security baselines. Any project work to bring the environment to standard is completed first, and scoped separately.
Is Microsoft 365 required?
Microsoft 365 is the preferred platform and is central to how AgileMANAGED is delivered, from security controls and device management to collaboration and AI. Most clients are already on it; if not, moving across is typically part of the onboarding project work.
Can we change tiers after we start?
Yes. Business needs change, and the tier can change with them. A periodic technology review is a natural point to reassess, for example if you add a server, move office, or open a second location.
What is included in the discovery conversation?
On-site or via Teams, it covers your business, your current technology, what is working and what is not, and how you want to operate. We use it to identify the right tier, scope any project work, and confirm whether Agile IT is the right fit. No quote, no obligation.
