The core positioning

Consulted before decisions, not after

Agile IT is not a break-fix provider, a helpdesk at the end of a queue, or a vendor that waits for problems. We are embedded in your business as a trusted advisor on technology decisions.

The best results happen when we are involved early, before decisions are locked in, avoiding rework, hidden risk, and solutions that do not fit how the business actually operates.

That expectation shapes everything: how we communicate, how we scope work, and how we plan change. It is what separates a partnership from a support contract.

The team at Agile IT has always guided us with change. Their interest in our business and how it works is key for us.

The story

Built deliberately, since 2007

Agile IT Solutions was founded in 2007 by Linden and Letecia Jackson, out of a lifelong interest in technology going back to the 1980s computing boom. More than 30 years in IT sit behind the business today.

It is family owned and operated, Linden as Managing Director, Letecia as co-founder providing oversight and strategic perspective. Family ownership is why accountability is personal here.

The business is intentionally small and focused. That is not a limitation , it is the design, and how Agile IT keeps accountability and personal service intact as it grows.

Our clients sit across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. Two offices, the Mornington base and the East Melbourne office at Jolimont, mean the same team can sit across from you, from one end of Port Phillip Bay to the other. It is part of how we have stayed close to clients for fifteen and twenty years at a time. Where we work →

How accountability works

The shared responsibility model

This model is not about distancing Agile IT from responsibility, it makes accountability visible. Every engagement includes a Responsibility and Accountability Matrix as a working document.

Shared responsibility model A diagram framed as a single "Together" container holding two columns inside it: what Agile IT owns (technical execution, security, monitoring, advice) and what the client owns (governance, risk appetite, business decisions). The outer "Together" framing represents the joint work both parties do collaboratively: discovery and planning, quarterly reviews, and change management. TOGETHER Discovery & planning · Quarterly reviews · Change management Agile IT owns ✓ Technical execution ✓ Security controls ✓ Endpoint & identity ✓ Monitoring & recovery ✓ Strategic advice ✓ Risk identification ✓ Proactive communication The client owns ✓ Governance ✓ Risk appetite ✓ Business priorities ✓ Regulatory obligations ✓ Investment decisions ✓ Final authority on changes

A Responsibility and Accountability Matrix is a working document in every engagement, accountability is visible from day one.

Agile IT owns

  • Technical execution, security controls, endpoint and identity management
  • Day-to-day operations, monitoring, recovery, and return to business as usual
  • Strategic advice on technology decisions
  • Proactive identification of risk and opportunity
  • Communication that keeps clients informed before they need to ask

The client owns

  • Governance, risk appetite, and business priorities
  • Regulatory obligations and investment decisions
  • The authority to accept or modify Agile IT's recommendations

Setting expectations

Managed services and project work

The managed services agreement maintains, supports and recovers your business-as-usual environment. A deliberate change, upgrade or addition is project work, scoped, quoted and approved separately, rather than rushed through under day-to-day support.

Managed services as the always-on baseline, with project work as separate events along the timeline A horizontal navy bar runs the full width labelled "Managed services" representing helpdesk, monitoring, patching, security, backups and vendor coordination delivered every month. Above the bar, three orange-outlined boxes labelled "Server upgrade", "Office move" and "AI rollout" sit at different points, representing project work that is scoped and quoted separately from the monthly agreement. PROJECT WORK · SCOPED & QUOTED SEPARATELY Server upgrade scoped project Office move scoped project AI rollout scoped project MANAGED SERVICES · ALWAYS ON Helpdesk · monitoring · patching · security baseline · backups · vendor coordination every month over time →
Managed services run every month. Project work sits above the baseline, scoped and quoted on its own.

Our values

Four things we hold to

01

Trust

We do what we say we will do. Honest, transparent, and direct when something needs to be said.

02

Quality

We do things properly. No shortcuts, no band-aid fixes, no solutions that create the next problem.

03

Responsiveness

We pick up the phone. We respond when it matters, and we follow through.

04

People First

You are not a support ticket. Technology only works when the people using it can use it well.

Credibility markers

Recognised, accredited, and involved

Markers that reflect how the business operates, not a wall of logos.

Questions

Questions about the Agile IT partnership

What does "strategic technology partner" actually mean day-to-day?
It means Agile IT is consulted before decisions are made, not called after something is already bought or implemented, input on a new software subscription, planning an office move, advising whether a new hire needs a device. The difference between a vendor you react to and a partner you involve.
What is the shared responsibility model?
Every AgileMANAGED engagement includes a Responsibility and Accountability Matrix defining what Agile IT owns and what the client owns. Agile IT owns technical execution, security, monitoring, strategic advice and keeping you informed; the client owns governance, risk appetite, business decisions and regulatory obligations. It makes accountability visible and agreed from day one.
What is the difference between the managed service and project work?
The managed service covers business-as-usual: maintaining, supporting and recovering your environment month to month. A deliberate change, a new server, an office move, a significant migration, is project work, scoped and quoted separately. No surprises about what the monthly agreement covers and what is an additional investment.
We already have someone in-house who handles IT. Can we still work together?
Yes. Some clients have an internal IT coordinator or business manager who fields day-to-day requests. Agile IT works alongside them as the technical and strategic layer, bringing depth where the internal resource has limits. We confirm the structure in the discovery conversation.
How do we know if Agile IT is the right fit before committing?
That is what the discovery conversation is for, on-site or via Teams, no quote and no obligation. We ask about your business, your current environment and what you are trying to achieve. If we are a good fit, we will say so; if we are not, we will say that too. We are deliberate about the clients we take on.
